Job Description
Reporting to the Founder and CEO, our Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading internal and external marketing efforts across the agency and working closely with cross-functional teams to plan and implement winning digital strategies for clients. The Senior Marketing Manager will work hand-in-hand with the Client Success team to grow new and existing client accounts through the creation of custom marketing plans and the identification of growth opportunities. This person will not only be responsible for the creation of marketing strategies but will also be expected to do the implementation work as it relates to those strategies.
This role requires a skilled professional with extensive agency experience who is dedicated to the growth and success of our agency and our clients. As this person will work directly with the executive leadership team on internal sales and marketing initiatives, they must be fully comfortable with the dynamics of internal management while delivering on client accounts and exceeding expectations.

Role & Responsibilities
Client Accounts:
- Strategize and create comprehensive digital marketing plans that advance and support our clients’ marketing agendas.
- Create strategies to drive traffic and conversion using a range of tactics such as display advertising, SEO, PPC, email marketing, trade marketing and CRO, etc.
- Develop and optimize content strategies as they relate to advertising, email marketing/ABM programs, and website content.
- Guide project marketing team members to ensure the overall strategy is being implemented successfully.
- Ability to implement at a tactical level, ensuring quality execution.
- Implement best practices to drive online customer acquisition, conversion and revenue.
- Optimize cost per acquisition and drive overall profitability of digital/web marketing efforts for our clients.
- Perform and analyze audits and reports of digital marketing efforts to inform strategic and tactical improvements to our clients’ programs.
- Develop overall metrics and success criteria for marketing efforts and ensure the marketing team is meeting them.
- Communicate results with clients at both a tactical and strategic level, noting trends that will direct budget and marketing efforts.
- Find opportunities within active client accounts to proactively grow the relationship.
Sales and Internal Marketing:
- Bring creative digital ideas to the full sales and marketing planning process.
- Identify marketing opportunities on existing client accounts and work with the project team to grow the account.
- Work closely with marketing and sales support to weigh in on outbound and inbound campaigns, target lists, and campaign messaging.
- Using an account-based approach, assist the executive team in managing opportunities in a highly consultative and complex sales cycle, building relationships that will become consistently growing channels of revenue year over year.
- When needed, attend events and meetings in-person and virtually to network with prospects and share our agency story.
- Clearly communicate our value proposition to C-level executives in person, through video calls, phone calls, and emails.
Qualifications
- 4 + years of agency experience is a MUST.
- 4 + years of SEO and PPC experience is a MUST.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years in Digital Marketing strategy and execution.
- Expert knowledge of major digital marketing tools and platforms:
- Advertising Platforms (Google AdWords, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, Reddit, Quora and Medium).
- Social Platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).
- Retargeting (Google AdWords).
- Marketing Automation (Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce).
- SEO (Google Search Console, SemRush, Google Analytics 4).
- Testing & Optimization (Optimizely, Unbounce, CrazyEgg, Hotjar, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager).
- Email CRM platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience developing digital marketing strategy and executing across multiple platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and present your ideas to various levels of an organization to explain and gain support for initiatives.
- Strong problem solver with the ability to be solutions-oriented.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, congenial, assertive.
- Fantastic writing and editing skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Experience managing marketing team members and contractors is a plus.
Compensation
- Annual salary of $67,000 to $80,000 based on experience plus benefits listed above
